Merry Christmas

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Now on to that cake of Yours...

Hello,

I'm home for Christmas leave. Doing okay- alive, pulse, breathing, no grostesque changes to my person. I've got HRAP (Hometown Recruiting Assistance Program) so I have to go out into the world and encourage folks to join the Army. Not Easy. I'm not from here, I don't have friends here and I've only actually lived here for 6 of the 12 months I've stated TX as my residency. I just kind of stroll through town with battle buddies and let it go from there. I seem to do better talking to healthcare-oriented students in high schools- I got two interested people as leads, at least. I prefer not to harrass complete strangers because I wouldn't want it myself, so why force yourself to do something that is not you and will not work for you? Anyway, HRAP is how I'm getting free leave from the military for this holiday season. I go back 2 Jan, report into my new battalion and prep for physical therapy tech school. Fun. I can't wait until school is over and done with. I hate studying! Oh...5 more years to go. sigh. Lord help me.

Merry Christmas to you, too.

Glad to hear things have worked out so far, and it's too bad you have to work over Christmas break, but if it means you can be home for a while it's worth it.

I hate studying too; it seems to be a common ailment among those destined to study...
